artwork by australian artist Wendy Tsai

I met artist Wendy Tsai over the holidays while volunteering
at Presbyterian Youth Summer Camp. Wendy does art therapy
and was teaching the campers to express what they
were learning from the talks through art.
My favourite works of Wendy’s are  from her series
“Journey to Childhood.” Wendy is a Christian and there are many
symbolic elements to her work. The square 'holes' in the ground around
the child represent those difficult times in life where you trip up,
or fall down. The trees on the left represent Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
who are solid pillars in her life.
