This bird has flown...

... well, just for a little while. I'm taking a little break and will be back blogging from 1st May. I'll miss you & Bowerbird but I'll tell you about my wonderful adventures when I return!

Don't forget to visit the bower again in May!

Interior inspiration

I'm always drawn to interiors that give a feeling of calm and quiet. Maybe it's because life is so hectic. It's nice to come home to your little tranquil place away from the rest of the world.

via Follow Studio's blog, which is also a very peaceful place to visit.

Country wedding

Can't go too long between beautiful wedding posts. This Australian wedding was seen at Concrete and Honey. Love the flowers and the ribbon-tree...

Paper art

More paper art. This time by Carol Gearing. You really must visit Upon A Fold (the website and the blog) it's ever-so inspiring. And it's Australia-based too...

Friends of Type

Is a cool place if you are into creative typography. Visit their site here.
Below are a few faves...

Black Cloud

Stunning paper installation seen at Upon A Fold's blog. There are 25,000 paper moths in this work by Mexican Artist Carlos Amorales. Laser-cut though (not by hand- phew!) but wow, so time-consuming to put together this artwork. The results are amazing though. Read more about it here.

Message in a bottle

Danni over at Oh! Hello Friend Made this little bottle message for a friend as an Easter gift. Isn't it adorable? Even though Easter has passed this would make a lovely gift for a friend's birthday, a 'get well', for someone who needs
cheering up... or just for fun. Use your imagination...

Typeface love

I just found this romantic typeface 'Nelly' over at Veer.
It reminds me of old hand-written love-letters.

Oysho Spring Summer Lookbook

Spotted over at Fleur Avenue was some dreamy photography from the Oysho Spring / Summer 2010 lookbook. Oysho is a Spanish / European based fashion brand. I love the softness, femininity and the light in these pretty pictures...

Make sure you take a little look around Fleur Avenue 's blog too. It's a recent find for me and I love Brenda's posts and style. Visit the Fleur Avenue's etsy shop to see her whimsical handmade jewellery.

One more pic...

... I can't resist posting before I sign off and enjoy the rest of the holiday monday. Hope you enjoy all of the posts from today (there's quite a few and they run over the page). Thank you for visiting the bower, it was a pleasure to have you...

Hope you had a wonderful Easter

It was so lovely to have such a long weekend... Enjoy your week. I'm on holidays (again!) next week. So only 4 days of work for me. Hooray!

Dreamy hair

In my recent searches across the web I keep stumbling across images of girls with beautiful, long, unruly hair. The just keep popping up... so I thought I'd share a little collection with you.

Erin sings the blues

Style at Home editor Erin McLaughlin has created a peaceful place with whites and soft blues. The horse pictures in the entry won me over...

Pink Frosting

Has everything you need for your next celebration. I need an excuse to buy some of the delicate paper-cut cupcake holders. Love the paper lanterns too...

Paper Couture

Beautiful paper art by Australian paper artist Jo Neville of Paper Couture, read more about here and see more images here.

Also seen on Whole Lotta Lovely (I'm really enjoying this blog, you should visit if you don't already) is this shoot for Cath Kidson fabrics, with it's very cute, rosy-cheeked models doing some redecorating in their pretty frocks,
so fanciful- I love it!

DIY polaroid table runner

Brilliant idea spotted in Whole Lotta Lovely
- a table runner made from photos taped together...

And these vintage suitcase flower planters made me smile too...
